—IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, invites media to attend the 2014 ESCO Finance Conference, which brings together a range of private and public sector stakeholders in the South African energy market to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy.
This second Energy Service Companies Finance Conference follows the success of the inaugural ESCO Finance Conference last year, which brought world-leading experts to South Africa to inspire the development of the ESCOs financing model.
This year’s event aims to encourage continuing development of the South African energy efficiency market and will feature speakers representing public entities such as Eskom, NCPC and SANEDI, and private sector actors such as ABSA, FNB and Energy Partners.
Topics of discussion include Energy Efficiency and the Role of the Financial Sector, Energy Efficiency Policy, Energy Efficiency and Industrial Competitiveness in South Africa, Green Buildings, and Private- Public Partnerships for Energy Efficiency.
