- The
TechEmerge Health Brazil
program, organized by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, in partnership with Bionexo, a technology company focused on healthcare management solutions, has just announced the 21 innovators from 7 countries selected to pilot their technology innovations in the Brazilian market with 16 healthcare providers. Pilots will receive support and grant funding under TechEmerge. The structured matchmaking program, which began last December and involved a major event in June, provided curated connections between technology companies from around the world and Brazilian healthcare institutions which jointly serve 19 million patients a year, including Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, Fleury Group, Rede D'Or, Hospital Sírio-Libanês and Dasa Group.
The companies selected to partner with the healthcare institutions will now start to pilot innovative technologies that have significant potential to impact on healthcare delivery, including: fast and non-invasive diagnostic exams, artificial intelligence solutions for genetics and imaging diagnostics, population health management platforms, patient safety and many others.

In addition to the financial support - provided by the governments of Israel and Finland in partnership with IFC – the awarded pilots, which are expected to start in December, will include technical oversight from Health 2.0, a consultancy firm that specializes in catalyzing digital health innovation around the world.
