—The World Bank and IFC will hold the inaugural Global Insurance Conference in Washington, D.C., to establish a platform for World Bank Group staff, clients, and key players in the (re)insurance field to discuss and debate new developments, exchange best practices, develop initiatives, and create momentum. Targeted areas include solvency II, bancassurance, climate change, innovation in insurance products, and policyholder-protection measures.
